How to Set Up and Connect Stripe
You can use Chattic to organize and share your collectibles anytime. However, if you do decide to sell any items, we need a way to send you payments. For this reason, we ask that you connect a Stripe account. You can either link your existing Stripe account or open a new one. It's fast and easy!
Stripe is a secure payment processor. When someone buys an item that you list, their payment will be sent to your Stripe account, and from there, you can deposit it to your bank account or wherever it needs to go.
Whether you already have a Stripe account set up or not, the process is the same. Get started by clicking on My Account near the top right of the screen, then click on Listings. You’ll see this screen:
Click on the Connect Account. This will bring you to Stripe’s website. Type in your email address. If you already have an account, you’ll be asked for your password so you can log in. If not, you’ll be prompted for your phone number. Stripe will text you a verification code so you can continue to the next step.
Over the next few screens, you’ll provide information about your business on Chattic along with some personal information like your address and phone number. You’ll also select how you’d like to receive funds from Chattic. You can choose to input your bank account information or use a debit card.
Finally, you’ll verify all the details you’ve entered. Click on the Submit button and you’ll be returned to the Chattic website. Now on the listings screen, you should see this message:
If not, don’t panic. It can take a while for all the “behind the scenes” processes to be completed. If nothing has happened after an hour, feel free to contact us, and we’ll give you a hand.
That’s it! You now have a Stripe account connected to Chattic and can start selling.
